Fleet Management System(FMS) – NMDC

Client: Central Government of India
  • Designed and delivered an end-to-end fleet management platform for large-scale mining operations, integrating GPS, vehicle health monitoring systems, and multiple industrial-grade field sensors designed for harsh mining environments, Integrated in 150+ Vehicles supporting real-time telemetry and safety-critical monitoring using heterogeneous hardware protocols.
  • Built real-time telemetry ingestion and processing pipelines handling hundreds of vehicles and 100-200K of telemetry records per day, with near real-time dashboard updates and alerting.
  • Implemented fault-tolerant local storage and delayed synchronization, ensuring ~zero data loss during network outages and remote field connectivity issues.
  • Developed secure REST APIs enabling two-way communication between field units and a Central Command Center for live tracking, command execution, and system monitoring.
  • Engineered SOS detection, collision-risk indicators, and vehicle health monitoring system(VHMS), significantly improving on-site safety and operational response times.
